The soul experiences an incredible amount of joy and sorrow. Life brings about circumstance after circumstance full of teachable moments. Every heart is broken and healed, imperfect but made beautiful by every opportunity to love and be loved. This is the journey of my soul...my life...my heart. If something touches you, inspires you, makes you smile, or helps you learn...all glory be to the good God who has brought me here to walk this road with Him. In Christ alone...Amen.
Time has healed me, as over the years I have been wrapped in the arms of Jesus. I keep bringing my pain to confession because I've had to dig out the roots of my own shortcomings. It feels wonderful to be able to revisit old memories and not hurt anymore...
And looking back, now I understand.
"Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him." (1Cor13)
